By David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-Friday, November 12, 2021-Warriors Stadium-Fallbrook High School-Fallbrook, CA: The Fallbrook Warriors known for talented athletes especially football players have achieved their goal on the gridiron. The last time Fallbrook made the playoffs was 2015 under former head football Kyle Williams as they finished at 7-5, their last winning season.

From 2016, 2017 and 2018, Fallbrook suffered through 3 losing seasons with 1-9 seasons. Current head coach Troy Everhart was hired as head coach for the Warriors in 2019 where he finished 0-10 in his first year on the job. The last 2 seasons, Coach Everhart guided Fallbrook High School to a 2-3 spring season and this season at 5-6

In the 49-0 win over San Ysidro, Chris Bausch led the Warriors with 91 yards rushing, scored 3 touchdown runs of 5, 7 and 44 yards. Marquise Washington 6 carries for 92 yards scored on a 35 yard touchdown. Other Warriors Marquis Washington and John Reynoso each scored touchdown runs of 7 yards.

"Both Marquise and Marcus Washington were outstanding and have contributed both ways to our club."

With the win the very improved Warriors of Fallbrook have won their first CIF playoff win since 2015 as they defeated the Lancers of Hilltop at Warriors Stadium by a 46-6 score as they fell in the semi finals to Mission Bay 62-35 and will travel to Blythe, CA as they take on the Yellowjackets of Palo Valley Verde on the road in a CIF Semi Final Division 5 Football

Bruce Rollinson will Always Rank Behind Bob Ladoceur in All Time California HS Coaches

I watch with interest how Mater Dei has changed their philosophy and now takes unlimited transfers in order to be top dog in the state. I guess Rollinson's 0-4 record against Bob Ladoceur of DLS caused that change. MD now reminds me a lot of IMG Academy, which is really a traveling all star squad. Too bad the MD's and SJB's of the world have to resort to such tactics. I have little respect today for the Southern section and how it is governed.

What do you think of the way CIF handled playoffs this season?

Now that we have had a chance to look at the brackets, I wonder your thoughts on the process.

I like most of it,but I have a problem with undefeated teams being rewarded(?) with match-ups against other undefeated teams in the first round.

I also struggle with league champions being on the road in the first round.

I do hope, though, that this format leads to the greatest CIF football playoffs in the history of mankind.

Let the games begin!

Week 9 Point Spreads

Let's compete.
______________________________________________________________________________

Simple contest. You pick the winner of each high school game with the point spread included. The poster who picks the most games correctly wins the contest.
Is it really week 4 already?...My the time flies.
______________________________________________________________________________

Example: Norco is playing Centennial. Centennial is favored by 17 1/2 points. The line will look this way:

Centennial -17 1/2 Norco

If you choose Centennial. They must win by 18 points for you to win.
If you choose Norco. They must keep the game within 17 points for you to win.

Friday night, Centennial beats Norco 34-21. Centennial wins the game by 13 points therefore those that took Centennial get a loss in our contest; those that took Norco get a win.

The poster with the most wins is our Victor.
______________________________________________________________________________

What do you win? STARS. Since there is no money involved, we play for STARS! The poster with the most correct picks, wins that week's STAR (Not an easy thing to do).

The poster with the most STARS at the end of the season becomes our CHAMPION.
_______________________________________________________________________________
