At 6-3, 265 lbs, this OL breaks things wherever he goes. A real bull in a China closet! Reminds me of a young Bruce Matthews. One of the neatest kids you will meet. He is my baby for next year of PTP.

Needs to improve: Repositioning hands and feet placement simultaneously.

Troy Thomas at Servite

20 minute interview with Troy Thomas on The Transparent Truth show with Greg Biggins and Keith Miller. The first part of the show is on Calabasas' Head Coach Kris Clayborne (sp?). In the last 22 minutes the interview with Troy begins.

Troy says:

This is the quickest buy-in he's ever seen.

The kids are not in the shape they need to be in, but after 5 weeks he's starting to see the bodies changing.

Servite is not going the transfer route, they never have...he wants to build a loyal brotherhood from the bottom up. (But BBB was right, he does say that there may be a few transfers at first).

Carlsbad defeated by Mount Miguel for D III CIF Section Title

By David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-Saturday, March 3, 2018-San Marcos High School-San Marcos, CA: The 6th seed Carlsbad Lancers have concluded their regular season at 15-16 but what a CIF Division III tournament run with wins over 12th seed Pacific Ridge, 14th seed Central High School, 7th seed Brawley High School in the semi finals and their Cinderella Magic ended in the championship Division III CIF Final as they were defeated in 3 overtimes by the top seed Matadors of Mt.Miguel by a well battled 79-76 contest.

Sam Eshelman Carlsbad Boys Basketball Coach: "Give Mount Miguel a lot of credit they are a good hungry team and they battled back like they did last season along with a well coached squad." " I'm proud of my squad as they battled hard tonight after trailing by 5 or 6 points and didn't quit, it takes a lot of effort that they showed."

"When we led 22-16 the Matadors shooting was outstanding after we lead we knew coming in the game they (Mount Miguel) are a great transition team, in the second half we wanted to slow them down as we didn't do a good job of getting back in transition and the cause was that we kept missing outside shots where we had trouble with we showed improvement in the second half of slowing them down but they have outstanding shooters.""We return 8 juniors 4 of them are starters and this was the ultimate goal for our school has waited for as we fell short but this was a great experience will be ready for the off season."

Carter Plousha led the Lancers with 23 points, 19 by Brogan Pietrocini along with 13 rebounds and 16 by Isaiah Ramos.

El Camino falls short in CIF Division I Boys Section Final to Santa Fe Christian

David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-Viejas Arena-San Diego State University-Friday, March 2, 2018-The much improved and top seed Wildcats from El Camino High School at 18-13 knows what it takes to make the championship round but they were outrebounded 35-25 by the Eagles of Santa Fe and fell short in the Division I Boys CIF Section Basketball final game that was played at the Viejas Arena on the campus of San Diego State University

Tom Tarrantino Head Boys Basketball Coach at El Camino: "I believed they developed better possessions as the game kept moving, earlier in the first half, I felt that we were a little more patient when Santa Fe Christian went ahead by 4 or 6 points, they (Santa Fe Christian) after we inbounded the ball, their defense pressed us as I have respect for them you can't score when we try to play one and one, it takes the whole team to move on them." "In the fourth quarter our team isn't very tall but we hustled, scrapped and gutted it out big." "Jalen Robinson didn't have one of his better games today and he knows that he contributed to the squad." "Santa Fe Christian made the open shots and that's how they won the ball game

Jalen Flanagan led the Wildcats with 21 points as he went 8 out of 25 on field goals and 3 out of 4 on the foul line along with 10 rebounds. Wildcat Teammate RJ Davis contributed with 16 points.

GSP Post Grad Try-outs April 7th - NorCal 1st Post Graduate Program

Try-out-FLYER.jpg

GOLDEN STATE PREP (POST GRADUATE 5th Year PROGRAM)
Golden State Prep (GSP) is proud to announce the formation of a fifth year Post Grad Men’s Basketball team that provides the ideal environment for student athletes who want an additional “gap” year to develop their basketball skills, mentality, and body in order to be best prepared for college basketball. We will be having Try-Outs, April 7th from 12-2pm at Napa Valley College. The cost will be $20.

GSP will work hand in hand with the staff from Prolific Prep, utilizing the same proven training method that has produced numerous college basketball players who have made significant impacts immediately in the college ranks.

If you have not secured the college opportunity you are looking for or simply want to enhance your options, then GSP is the right choice for you after high school graduation.

*****************************************************************************************************************************

BELOW ARE REASONS YOU SHOULD CHOOSE THE GOLDEN STATE PREP POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM:

• Coaching: GSP Athletes will be working side by side with the Prolific Prep Staff, facilities, and their networking capabilities. All seven staff members at Prolific Prep have played and coached in college, placing hundreds of athletes into NCAA Colleges or the Professional Ranks throughout their coaching careers.

• One Year Gap: GSP provides athletes a one-year “gap” designed to enhance their basketball and educational platforms. The student-athlete’s NCAA “Clock” does not start during this “gap” year. This means the player will not lose a year of NCAA Eligibility.

• Improve your Body and Game: The backbone of GSP will be built around Skill Development. It is the reason Prolific Prep was formed and the reason why GSP is a success. This includes maturing as a player physically, mentally, and socially. Players will have designated time for Strength & Conditioning, Yoga, and basketball skill court training. The GSP program is all about YOU!
