From our Rivals Oregon staff:

Ryder Lyons is an elite QB from Folsom (CA) High School for the class of 2026. He is also the younger brother of USC 2023 tight end commit Walker Lyons. The older brother is set to join USC following a religious mission.

Oregon will be in the mix no matter what as the Ducks were one of the earliest schools to offer a scholarship (fifth) and were the first ‘big time’ school to offer. The chances are that Ryder will also take a mission following high school, so this is as much about relationship building as anything.

A name to watch for the 2026 class is Brandon Arrington. A 6-2, 180-pound athlete from La Mesa (CA) Mount Miguel High School is working to get to Oregon on an unofficial visit but he has special intrigue with Oregon thanks in large part to his dual sport status.

As a sophomore, Arrington clocked a 10.43-100meter and 20.76-200meter and there is a strong appeal to Oregon with their history in both sports. Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Notre Dame are the others that are recruiting Arrington the hardest right now. There is a long way to go here, just a name to watch.
