There were surprises, upsets, and redemption in week 0 for the WVD.
I can only imagine on how topsy turvey this division once again will be.
More great matchups once again this week.
Most of the division got underway as the rest of the division kicks off their season this week.

1. (1) Mission Viejo (2-0) Remember when mission started off last year 0-2, then rebounded and won the title? We do too. This week MV avenged a loss from last year by beating Liberty -Bakersfield 27-14 on the road.
After 2 weeks on the road the Diablos finally are at home. I wouldn't get to comfortable though. Next: Oak Hills (1-0)

2. (2) Vista Murietta (0-0) VM had a bye and will open its season at home to Ballard (Seattle)

3. (3) Los Al (0-0) Los Al also had a bye and will open tis season Thursday night vs. Paramount.

4. (5) Upland (1-0) Upland opened the season by blowing out Knight 49-6. This week the Scotts have their home opener with a likely result. Next: Venice (1-0)

5. (6) Tesoro (1-0) The Titans opened the season by beating previous #8 Edison 35-16. Lets see if Tesoro gets a break with a trap game. Next: Mater Dei (1-0)

6. (7) Rancho Cucamonga (1-0) RC romped all over last years Southwest Division champ, Trabuco Hills, winning 45-10. The Cougars were in control throughout. RC has a nice rivalry brewing with its next opponent. Next: Norco (1-0)

7. (9) Chino Hills (1-0) CH crushed city rival Ayala, 31-0. Hope the Huskies are healthy and ready this week. Next: J Serra (1-0)

8. (nr) Valencia (0-0) Valencia had a bye and opens its season this week at Palmdale (1-0)

9. (nr) San Juan Hills (1-0) SJH cracks the top 10 for the first time after defeating San Clemente 34-20. Nice win for the Stallions. Be wary SJH. Next: Canyon (Anaheim) (1-0)

10. (4) Great Oak (0-1) Are the Pack that over-rated? they were blown out by Heritage 36-13. Lets see if GO rebounds. Next: King (0-0)
