Willauer-Contributing Writer-Holiday Boys Basketball Classic-Torrey Pines High School-12-28-24-San Diego, CA: The Montgomery Aztecs suffered their first loss of the season as they had their 12 game winning streak snapped as they were defeated by a J Serra Lions squad by a 61-57 score in a National Division Quarter Final round of the Holiday Basketball Tournament that was held at Torrey Pines High School.
J Serra at 12-3 was led by Jarne Eyenga with 24 points, BJ Davis Ray with 17 points, Brannon Martinson with 13 points will play the Carlsbad Lancers in a semi final round
The Aztecs at 12-1 was led by JJ Sanchez with 24 points Xair Mendez 16 and 8 points by Devin Hamilton. Montgomery will play Georgetown Prep in a consolation semi final round.
