August 24, 2017 GRANADA HILLS, Calif. – LA36 announced recently the decision to televise eight Los Angeles City Section regular season football games for the 2017 season.

The coverage begins tomorrow on August 25 with View Park hosting Locke Charter High School. All games will be tape delayed and replayed on LA36 the following week.

“We are thrilled that LA36 is providing the opportunity to televise these games,” veteran playby-play announcer Randy Rosenbloom said. “The City Section deserves this and we are happy for the exposure it will bring to these programs and players.”

For the very first time, the inaugural “Rosenheimer Bowl” will be played between long time East Valley League rivals, North Hollywood and Polytechnic. Rosenbloom is an alum of North Hollywood while Los Angeles Times sports prep writer, Eric Sondheimer, graduated from Polytechnic.

The winner of the annual clash will receive a perpetual trophy. Rosenbloom and Sondheimer have been covering the LA City Section for more than 40 years.

Additional future games could be added to the following schedule as the season progresses.
