The inexperience at QB for the Santa Barbara Dons did not show up right away but eventually was exposed by the Culver City Centaurs (9-2) in their 55-7 victory over the Dons. The Dons kept it close at first, only trailing 7-0 after a quarter but some late second quarter mistakes by the Dons helped get the Centaurs up 28-0 at the half and the Dons never really got untracked except one big pass play that led to their only TD. Centaur sophomore QB Zevi Echaus was 29 of 38 for 366 yards and 7 touchdowns.
The Centaurs next opponents, the Millikan Rams (8-2) looked equally explosive in their 53-6 win over Pacifica of Garden Grove. Millikan junior QB Qeanu Campbell-Caldwell was 14 of 17 for 249 yards and 4 TD's and senior RB Qu'Juan Campbell also had 146 yards rushing on just 12 carries for 3 more TD's and a long run of 70 yards. Millikan won the coin flip and will host the Centaurs on Friday night.
