Notre Dame offers UCLA commit Jace Brown (Warren)

Per Tyler James, InsideNDSports:

Notre Dame's search for wide receivers in the 2025 class continued Thursday in California.

UCLA three-star commit Jace Brown announced an offer from the Irish after a conversation with general manager Chad Bowden and wide receivers coach Mike Brown.

Rivals ranks Jace Brown as the No. 27 tight end prospect in the 2025 class, but the Irish are looking at him as a receiver. Brown caught 46 passes for 560 yards and six touchdowns in his junior season at Downey (Calif.) Warren.

Two CA QBs could get renewed interest from Notre Dame if Deuce Knight ditches ND: Bear Bachmeier (Murrieta Valley) and Jackson Kollock (Laguna Beach)

Per Rivals Notre Dame writers:

Notre Dame football appears to be stuck in purgatory with the recruitment of quarterback Deuce Knight. The No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in the 2025 class has been committed to the Irish since September, but the status of his commitment has never been more in doubt.

Auburn and Ole Miss are working hard to flip Knight, and their efforts seem to be resonating. If Knight flips, the Irish will have to do some poaching of their own as practically all of the top quarterback recruits in the 2025 class are currently committed somewhere.

Here are some solid reasons to pursue Bear Bachmeier (Murrieta Valley) and Jackson Kollock (Laguna Beach), among others:

Vista Panthers late heroics spoil Fallbrook's home football opener 29-20

By David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-Warriors Stadium-Fallbrook High School- Fallbrook, CA: After a 1-9 rebuilding year, former Vista alum and Montana alum David Fa'atu'lese in his second year at the helm of the Panthers knows what it take to build a football program and found the talent to do so.

In the Thursday night contest at Warriors Stadium at Fallbrook High School it was back and fourth at both ends of the field as Vista lead 23-20 on Alex Cosmos 1 yard touchdown run. Near the end of the game after Fallbrook had the ball, Vista's Edyn Thompson and William Calderon stripped the ball and Ashawn Mitchell ran in for a fumble recovery to make the final score 29-20 in favor of the Panthers.

Vista and Montana Grizzly alum David Fa'atu'lese on winning the opener: "To be honest with you this is a big win for these kids, they have gone 3 years of varsity football without a winning season." "So we came out to win the opener which is a big projectory for this program we have the coaches of motivating the kids in the off season after the summer." "On our first touchdown Abel Lopez's 18 yard field goall we knew this game was going to be a dog fight as we are a well coached team as we get to know each other so we need to keep running the program to bring back the glory. "

For the Vista Panthers at 1-0, Alex Cosmos ran for 124 yards 1 touchdown run of 1 yard and passed for 39 yards. QB William Calderon passed for 56 yards. Next week the Panthers will host the Ramona Bulldogs next Friday night at Dick Haines Stadium,
