Here's the L.A. Times’ 2024-25 All-Star boys’ basketball team

Roosevelt's Stephen Singleton is the Coach of the Year

Brayden Burries, Eastvale Roosevelt, 6-5, Sr.: A 44-point, 12-rebound performance in the Open Division state championship game let everyone know his standard for excellence while averaging 30 points a game. He is the Times Player of the Year.

Nikolas Khamenia, Harvard-Westlake, 6-9, Sr.: The Duke commit expanded his versatility, averaging 18.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.1 assists for the Mission League champions.

Joe Sterling, Harvard-Westlake, 6-4, Jr.: One of the Southland’s best three-point shooters, Sterling averaged 18.8 points for the 31-3 Wolverines.

Alijah Arenas, Chatsworth, 6-6, Sr.: The USC commit finished as the City Section’s all-time scoring leader with 3,002 points after averaging 30.4 points.

Jason Crowe Jr., Inglewood, 6-4, Jr.: He averaged 35.3 points with a high game of 55 points against Beverly Hills in helping the Sentinels win the Ocean League.

Tajh Ariza, Westchester, 6-9, Jr.: He led the Comets to their 16th City Section championship, averaging 27 points and 14 rebounds.

Anto Balian, Pilibos, 6-3, Sr.: The Pepperdine commit averaged 31.9 points and led his team to historic wins over Crespi and Chatsworth.

Brandon Benjamin, Anaheim Canyon, 6-5, Sr.: The University of San Diego commit averaged 30.1 points while delivering top performances against top teams from start to finish.

Tyran Stokes, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 6-7, Jr.: He helped the Knights reach the Open Division sectional and regional finals by averaging 21.1 points and 9.4 rebounds and shooting 53% from the field.

Myles Walker, Eastvale Roosevelt, 5-9, Sr.: The point guard averaged 12.4 points and 6.9 assists while coming through in big games, including 10 points and 10 assists against Notre Dame in the regional final.

Ontario Christian's Aundre Cummings is the Coach of the Year

Jerzy Robinson, Sierra Canyon, 6-0, Jr.: The national recruit led the Trailblazers to a 28-3 record, averaging 26.9 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

Kaleena Smith, Ontario Christian, 5-6, So.: One of the nation’s top players from the class of 2027 averaged 23.1 and 8.1 assists for 30-2 Ontario Christian. She is the Times Player of the Year.

Tatianna Griffin, Ontario Christian, 5-11, Fr.: Griffin averaged 17.8 points and 8.2 rebounds while showing fearlessness against older opponents.

Grace Knox, Etiwanda, 6-3, Sr.: The Louisiana State commit was a rim protector in helping Etiwanda win its third straight Open Division state title. She averaged 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Aliyahna Morris, Etiwanda, 5-5, Sr.: The California commit ran the show for the Eagles, averaging 24 points while stepping in to be the offensive catalyst when needed.

Addison Deal, Mater Dei, 6-0, Sr.: The Iowa commit and McDonald’s All-American averaged 19.9 points for the Trinity League champions.

Tess Oldenberg, Chino, 6-2, So.: She averaged 18.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5.6 blocks for the Mt. Baldy League champion.

Jordin Blackmon, Bishop Montgomery, 5-11, Sr.: The three-time Del Rey League player of the year headed to Rice averaged 14.7 points and 6.9 rebounds.

Julia Wilson, Rancho Christian, 5-10, Sr.: The Gonzaga commit averaged 21 points and 6.3 rebounds in leading her team to the Southern Section Division 1 title.

Lev Feiman, Brentwood, 5-8, Sr.: The UC San Diego commit averaged 15.4 points and became the school’s all-time scoring leader with 1,844 points.

Texas is hanging around in the race for 5-star corner Havon Finney Jr. (Sierra Canyon), but it’s LSU and USC that are leading the charge right now for the 6-3 corner. But Finney had this to say:

"All right, folks... let's start with the not-so-fortunate news. I like to think I'm a pretty straight shooter when it comes to wavering pledges; I told y'all last year that Cortez Mills and Kevin Sperry were goners and that Courtland Guillory would stick despite his visit to Texas.

So in all candor, I will tell you that I don't feel great about the Sooners' chances to hold on to Daniel Odom. The blue-chip wideout from Cali is in the process of scheduling several visits, including OV's, to several schools other than Oklahoma. The Sooners will still get him in town for a ChampU BBQ official, but it may be too little and too late by that time.

You will ask if this has anything to do with Jaden O'Neal, and I will tell you that I don't favor OU's chances to keep Odom in the fold regardless of the outcome with O'Neal. Odom's commitment was out of left field in the first place, which is always cause for skepticism as to whether it'll hold.

I'm not saying the kid is two feet out the door just yet, but you'd be well advised to adjust expectations accordingly.
