Week 4 Point Spreads

Simple contest. You pick the winner of each high school game with the point spread included. The poster who picks the most games correctly wins the contest.
______________________________________________________________________________

Example: Norco is playing Centennial. Centennial is favored by 17 1/2 points. The line will look this way:

Centennial -17 1/2 Norco

If you choose Centennial. They must win by 18 points for you to win.
If you choose Norco. They must keep the game within 17 points for you to win.

Friday night, Centennial beats Norco 34-21. Centennial wins the game by 13 points therefore those that took Centennial get a loss in our contest; those that took Norco get a win.

The poster with the most wins is our Victor.
______________________________________________________________________________

What do you win? STARS. Since there is no money involved, we play for STARS! The poster with the most correct picks, wins that week's STAR (Not an easy thing to do).

The poster with the most STARS at the end of the season becomes our CHAMPION.

Week 3 Point Spreads...Who Are The Top Teams?

As we head in to Week 3 play, it is becoming evident who the strong teams are...And which posters are good at identifying them...Come, join us, and see how YOU do.
_____________________________________________________________________________

_______________________________________________________________________________

What's up with the recruitment status of Sierra Canyon's Bronny James?

Here's some info from Rivals Basketball Recruiting Director Rob Cassidy:

"For being the most famous and discussed basketball recruit on the planet, little is known about where Bronny James’ college recruitment stands. James does very few interviews and says less than Charlie Chaplin on the rare occasion that he does speak to the press.

Tennessee, Texas, Ohio State and Kansas all seem to be possible landing spots for LeBron James’ son based on whispers, but visit plans and frontrunners are being played close to the vest by the James camp. The secrecy has given way to an interesting dichotomy, as the most talked about prospect in the class is somehow also the most mysterious.

The NBA G-League also looms large in James’ recruitment, but it’s starting to seem as though the college route is very much in play."

El Camino Football Wrap

By David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-9-2-22: The El Camino Wildcats opened up their 2022 Gridiron season as they defeated the Saints of St. Augustine's by a 29-13

QB Carson Howard threw for 78 yards including a 14 yard pass to Tate Reid and teammate Zuriel Eatmon led the Cats with 1 reception for 24 yards. Carton Howard led the Cats in rushing with 11 carries for 62 yards and 2 touchdowns. Devin Cerda 4 carries for 15 yards scored on an 8 yard run.

The El Camino Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season as they were defeated by the Pioneers of Pinnacle High ranked in the state of Arizona by a 43-6 score.

The Wildcats got their only touchdown in the game as running back Devon Cerda carried the ball for 37 yards scored on an 8 yard run. QB Carson Howard threw for 184 yards with 1 interception, Kobe Johnson registered 94 yards receiving and teammate Tate Reid with 53. The Wildcats are now 2-1 will host the Lancers of Carlsbad on Friday, September 9th, 2022.

Michael Hobbs Head Football Coach at El Camino This game was a much tougher match up for us – Pinnacle is a very good team. They got a jump on us with the opening kickoff return, followed immediately by a 1 play drive – 51 yard touchdown pass. We clawed back to 6-7 at the end of the 1st quarter with a failed 2 pt conversion, but the wheels came off in the 2nd Quarter. We were able to move the ball well, but stalled in the red zone – mostly self inflicted. We were also able to get some stops, but we gave up some big plays and it got away from us.
