Leagues got underway with a pop, this weeks there's a bang.
A few good rivalry games on tap and there's already a few teams fighting to salvage their season.
Two big games this week that may determine league champs, as the top 4 matchup with one another.

1. (1) Tesoro (1-0 6-1) Tesoro avoided the upset and beat El Toro 30-21. At one point the Titans were down 14 points. Devon Modster lead the comeback. Had better not get off to a slow start this week. This week is for the league title. Next #3 Mission Viejo (1-0 5-2)

2. (2) Chino Hills (1-0 5-1) CH rolled to a 35-7 route over Rancho Cucamonga lead by Grady O'Donnell who had 153 yards rushing. CH had over 350 yards on the ground. Big showdown this week as we should see emotions run high. Next: @ #4 Upland (1-0 5-2)

3. (3) Mission Viejo (1-0 5-2) MV rolled to a ho-hum 34-7 victory over Dana Hills. This week tells us much as MV invades its rival #1 Tesoro (1-0 6-1)

4. (4) Upland (1-0 4-2) Upland rolled to an easy 44-14 over an old rival, Damien. The Scotts were lead by QB Hilinski and WR Malik Yoakum, who caught 3 TD's to lead the route. This week some history lessons will in be in store with Chino Hills coach and their QB formally of Upland. Baseline title up for grabs here. Next: Chino Hills (1-0 5-1)

5. (5) Hart (1-0 4-2) Hart went into the weeks contest as a double digit favorite over rival Canyon, and came out with a 1 point win, 21-20. That's a rivalry game for ya. The Indians should have a rather easy time this week as it hosts West Ranch (0-1 2-4)

6. (7) Vista Murrieta (1-0 4-2) Where did these guys come from? VM blew out a supposed vastly improved Great Oak team 42-7 to the record straight - they're back ! Next: City rival Murrieta Valley (1-0 3-3)

7. (9) Los(t) Al (1-0 5-1) After being upset last week Los(t) Al righted itself with a dominating 34-7 win over Fountain Valley to open Sunset League play. This week should be another win. Next: Newport Harbor (1-0 3-3)

8. (10) Valencia (1-0 4-2) blew out Golden Valley 45-10. Blows out this weeks opponent too. Next: Saugus (1-0 3-3)

9. (6) El Toro (0-1 5-2) ET were beat by # 1 Tesoro 30-21 after it lead by 14 points early in the game. The Chargers have to be disappointed they let one get away. We think they'll take it out in this weeks game. Next: San Juan Hills (0-0 3-3)

10. (nr) Edison (1-0 4-2) Edison opened league play with a 63-6 clocking over hapless Marina. At least this weeks game is a rival game, not that its going ot matter. Next: Huntington Beach (0-1 1-5)

others:
Great Oak (0-1 4-2) blown out by VM
Etiwanda (1-0 3-2-1) drilled los osos 35-3. Not a bad defense, just sayin
