West Valley Division Rankings Week 5

Four losses amongst Top 10 teams this week.
A few blow outs, a question answered.
Many teams have bye's this week as league play starts in 2 weeks for most of the division.

1. (1) Mission Viejo (6-0) MV stayed undefeated by cruising past Redondo, winning 35-16. Mission gets two weeks to prepare for Dana Hills (0-5) on Oct 9

2. (3) Tesoro (4-1) Tesoro stayed the course and beat CDM 45-31 on Thursday night. Solid matchup this week as Tesoro hosts San Clemente (4-1)

3. (4) San Juan Hills (5-0) The top 3 teams are form the SCL as SJH showed they are deserving of their ranking after blowing past previous #5 Los Al, 54-26. Next: Beckman (2-2)

4. (2) Vista Murrieta (3-1) VM ran into a tough Trinity team in O Lu and were beaten 29-14. It doesn't get any easier this week for VM as they once again are on the road. Next: @ St. Augustine SDS (4-1)

5. (6) Rancho Cucamonga (4-1) It was the Aaron Manning show as RC got it in gear after being tied 14 - 14 in the second quarter. RC scored 38 unanswered points in route to a 59-21drubbing of La Serna. RC looked pretty good as they seemed to clean up the penalties. Next: Oct 9 Damien (2-2)

6. (8) Upland (3-2) As expected the Scots got back to winning after successive loses to Tesoro and Mater Dei. This week the U crushed lowly LA Washington 57-0. Next: Oct 9 @ Etiwanda (2-3)

7. (10) Murrieta Valley (4-1) MV proved resilient after a tough defeat the previous to RC. MV beat Moorpark 28-7 to take them into their bye week. Net: Oct 9 Mesa (3-2)

8. (7) Hart (3-1) Hart lost a tough one to St Bonnies 42-38 for its first loss. Next: Ventura (2-3)

9. (nr) Chino Hills (3-2) After last weeks blow out loss to Amat, Chino Hills, rebounded for a 49-25 victory over a decent Downey team. Next: Oct 9 @ Los Osos (2-2)

10. (5) Los Al (2-2) After a tough last second loss to La Habra the previous week, it looks as if LA just didn't have this week, losing to #3 SJH 54-26. More fo the same this week ? Next: LA Narbonne (2-2)
