Were you at all surprised at the difference in both teams since week 1?

I didn't get a chance to watch the stream, but followed via twitter. Seemed like early on Norco seemed to be rolling, then things flipped in the second half. I was pretty sure RC had it with a few minutes to go, but obviously I'm glad Norco pulled it out. Especially glad they kicked it instead of trying to run it in and somehow burning the clock.

am I surprised ? no.
both teams imo were / are better since the beginning of the year. on norcos first series rancho stuffed them for a 3 and out. rc defensive front was shifting, moving around, and stunting. for whatever reason they didn't get back to that until the second half.
it was a tale of two halves for sure. IF rancho makes one play on viramontes on the last drive, they win. they didn't and they lost. I really don't think Norco scores from inside the 5 on that defense, I think that's why they went for the FG. the FG was with the wind, so it made sense, since it was essentially a PAT.
