EMOREEA FOUNTAIN PACES MCCLYMONDS OVER LA JOLLA COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL

Willauer-LaJolla Country Day School-Saturday, December 18, 2016-LaJolla, CA-The Warriors of McClymonds High School out of Oakland, CA known for their fame of sports traditions in Frank Robinson who excelled in Major League Baseball as a Player and Manager along with Bill Russell for basketball and excelled for the Boston Celtics in the NBA, but for the first time on Saturday McClymonds High School Warriors made history on LaJolla Country Day School’s Torrey Field by taking the California Interscholastic Federation 5A State Football Final on qb Emoreea Fountain’s 4 completions out of 11 attempts for 78 yards threw 2 touchdown passes to Angelo Garrett (2 receptions for 54 yards) of 16 and 38 yards and Devin White who broke a 14-14 tie scored on a 75 yard kickoff return to go up 20-17.
Nick Albert led in rushing 21 carries for 106 yards Devin White 13 carries for 69 yards.
For LaJolla Country Day School, QB and University of Arizona bound Braxton Burmeister 17 carries for 116 yards scored 2 touchdown runs of 29 yards and 1 yards and in the passing department 7 completions out of 23 attempts for 111 yards . Drew Schmid contributed with a 30 yard field goal.
