LA City Section league realignments approved

OFFICIAL 2018 – 2022 League Realignmentas approved by the Board of Managers.

The LA City Section will have 20 leagues total beginning in the Fall of 2018. There are two new leagues yet to be named.

Here are the major changes:
  • Legacy moves from the Southern League to the Eastern League for all sports.
  • Jordan leaves the Eastern League and into a new league (yet to be titled).
  • Rancho Dominguez moves from the Exposition League to the Marine League for all sports except football.
  • Washington and King Drew leave the Marine League and into a new league (yet to be titled).
  • Washington would play football in the Exposition League and no longer in the Marine League.
  • Fremont and Locke are members of the Coliseum League in all sports, including football.
  • Manual Arts becomes a member of the Exposition League in all sports, including football. They leave the Coliseum League.
  • Mendez becomes a member of the Central League in all sports.

New League #1 (name to be determined):
Dymally, Harbor Teacher, Jordan, King Drew, Port of Los Angeles, Washington

New League #2 (name to be determined):
Camino Nuevo, Animo De La Hoya, Smidt Tech, Stern

All leagues in the Valley Region remain status-quo. NO changes.
