Willauer-Contributing Writer-Dick Haines Stadium-Vista High School-Vista, CA: In a Division IV semi final round that was held at Vista High School, the season has ended for the Pathers of Vista at 4-8 after a huge 14-11 victory over the Coronado Islanders, but when they ran into an 8-5 Monarch offense that relied on running back Alex Villanueva'a 221 yards rushing and scored touchdown runs of 54, 2, 12, 9 and 2 yards as they defeated the Panthers by a 34-14 score.
Vista was led by Broc Schweihard with 93 yards rushing, Alex Cosme 34 yards rushing and Jake Covarobbias rushed for 95 yards and 2 touchdown runs of 15 and 16 yards.
Monte Vista will play Bonita Vista a 27-12 win over the Crawford Colts, next Saturday November 30th 2024 at 3:30 pm at Southwestern College
