Former Poly High girls basketball star Jasmine Dixon, one of the nation's top recruits in 2008 who signed a letter of intent with Rutgers University, left the New Jersey school just five games into her freshman year.

As reported by The Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger earlier this month, Dixon left the Scarlet Knight program and will transfer to another school. Tuesday it was reported that Dixon is considering transferring to UCLA.

"It's just not a good fit," Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer said in The Star-Ledger on Dec.8. "(Dixon will) be fine.

"We'll be fine."

Attempts to contact Dixon on Wednesday were unsuccessful.

Dixon played in Rutgers' two exhibition games and first five official games of the season, averaging 3.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 8.8 minutes. She had a season-high seven points in consecutive games against Saint Joseph's (an 86-59 win) and Princeton (an 83-35 win).
