CIFss Division 7 top ten projections for Week 3

The San Jacinto Tigers(3-0) are #1 in the current calpreps.com ratings for the CIFss Division 7. They are #3 in the CIFss poll. They are on the road this week, against their toughest opponent so far this season, the Murrieta Mesa Rams(1-1) of Murrieta Valley. The Rams crushed Corona(2-1) last week 55-14 but will find the Tigers much tougher. I will project this to be a 28-21 Tiger victory.

#2 in Calpreps.com D-7 ratings are the Millikan Rams(2-1). The CIF poll has them as #8 in D-7. They are on a bye, studying up to play Moore League nemesis, Long Beach Poly(2-1), next week.

#3 in Calpreps.com and #2 in the CIF poll is Coach Raul Lara's Warren Bears(2-0) of Downey. They are traveling to face the Culver City Centaurs(2-0), the #6 team in D-7 according to Calpreps.com and the #4 team according to the CIF poll. In the Division 7 game of the week!

#4 in Calpreps.com and #9 in the CIF poll, are the Northview Vikings(3-0) of Covina. Northview pounded West Covina(1-2) last week by 51-6. It should be more of the same for Northview this week. maybe a touchdown closer, on the road against Don Lugo(1-2) of Chino.

#5 in Calpreps.com and #1 in the CIFss poll, are the Santa Barbara Dons(3-0), but it gets tougher this week as they face the St. Bonaventure(2-1) Seraphs. Current ratings favor the Dons over the Seraphs, but I am having trouble considering the Don's as favorites.

#7 in the calpreps.com ratings are the Citrus Valley Blackhawks(2-1). They had an easy 38-0 victory over D-7 La Quinta(0-3) tonight. They will have a tougher but beatable opponent next week at home against Silverado(0-3) of Victorville.

#8 in the Calpreps.com ratings are the Pacifica Mariners(2-1) of Garden Grove. They are #7 in the CIFss D-7 poll. The Mariners got clobbered last week 44-7 by Capistrano Valley, the #3 team in D-3. They have a much more winnable game this week, in Irvine, against Woodbridge(1-2). I am picking the Mariners, but it should not be a blowout.

#9 in the Calpreps.com ratings are the Crescenta Valley Falcons(3-0). The CIF poll has them at #5. The Falcons are on a bye week before they start play in the Pacific League. The Falcons currently project as the second place team in the Pacific League but may face stiff challenges from both Muir(3-0) and Arcadia(1-2) in trying to secure those guaranteed 2cnd & 3rd place league positions for the playoffs. The Falcons have 2 weeks to prepare for Muir.

#10 in the Calpreps.com ratings is the Notre Dame Titans(3-0) of Riverside. The CIF poll agrees with that assessment. The Titans should get an easy victory this week, on the road, against Rubidoux(0-3) before a couple of tough non-league contests.
