Aaron Abrams Boys Head Basketball Coach for Rancho Buena Vista. "For us going in the game today we didn't play well and Carlsbad played with more composure, the experience was been here before but we looked like the opposite but one of the big things is that we didn't take care of the basketball." "Losing Noah Fields was a big blow to our team because we lost on the rebounds if we didn't rebound the ball it hurt us on our offense." "One of the players who got the Sportsmanship Award is Aiden Ross who has been the heart and soul for our team has been out for the past 2 weeks with mono." We had a great season and a lot of success and to hang our hat on and to be proud about it." "Were not done we're going to keep grinding and be ready for next year."
The Lancers of Carlsbad improve to 26-6 and have won their 4th San Diego CIF Boys Basketball title and will be at LaJolla Country Day School in a CIF State playoff on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. RBV with the loss falls to 27-5 and will take on Capistrano Valley Christian in a CIF State Playoff game on 2-26-19
