Duke Bound Boogie Ellis game winning layup paces Mission Bay Bucs in quarter final game

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Torrey Pines High School-San Diego, CA-12-27-18: In one of the most closest games that went down to the wire in a quarter final game of the National Division of the Torrey Pines Holiday Basketball Classic that was held at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, it was again Mission Bay after they defeated Torrey Pines in a CIF quarter final game on the Falcons home court by a 52-20 score this time went further in the 4th quarter after Bryce Pope connected on 2 foul shots to give Torrey Pines a 63-62. The ball was imbounded as Duke University bound only scored 6 points through the game despite a wrist injury scored the game winning basketball at the buzzer to give Mission Bay a 64-63 lead and advanced in the semi final round.
Boogie Ellis: "I didn't have any trouble shooting as I was double teamed a lot but I found my teammates and made them felt good by letting them make the open shots." "When we played Torrey Pines the last time in the quarter final round I don't think about that my job is to focus on my teammates and am here to play basketball." "We stepped up huge today everyone knows in the count which is a big deal for me. It is going to be a good game and will be ready to play."
