Mateo Sialoi paces Valley Center Jaguars in 26-7 win over Vista Panthers

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Friday, November 9, 2018-The amazing Valley Center Jaguars again proved themselves last night on their home field behind the outstanding performance of their running back Mateo Sialoi's 241 yards rushing contributed with 3 touchdowns, after a 0-0 first period score, the senior running back scored touchdown runs of 3 and 4 yards in the second quarter along with 1 run of 13 yards as they defeated a very talented Vista Panthers squad by a 26-7 score.

Rod Gilster: "Tonight's game was very explosive on the field for both teams." "On the flea flicker play we had worked on that for 2 weeks in our practices which helped us a lot for our long passing situation when going in the opponents territory before Mateo Sialoi who scored his 2nd touchdown had an outstanding game for our squad."

Vista's only touchdown came in the fourth quarter as David Flores rushed for 57 yards scored on a 2 yard run. Other Vista contributors QB Josh Davies 11 completions out of 21 attempts for 80 yards threw 1 interception and had 13 carries for 53 yards. With the win the Jaguars of Valley Center improve to 8-3 and will host the Marauders of Mira Mesa High School next Friday night at 7:00 pm
