Rob Gilster in his 8th year as head coach of Valley Center High School: "As we had the ball and my qb (KJ Mazzetti) made some outstanding throws to his receivers we did well on the offensive side and shut them (RBV) out which was an accomplishment."
"Hayden Burkey who ran the 20 yard interception we have gone over that same play in practice everyday were used to that screen." "Mateo Sinohui is a hard runner the offensive line did great as they blocked and left open holes for him he runs hard to get the extra yards Offensive line wise we did very well blocking up front and contributing to our squad." "KJ Mazzetti is a good qb for us to be successful we want to be 50 50 we need to throw and run the ball When we prepared to play RBV our offense started to put the puzzle together and the pieces were in place." said Coach Gilster
For RBV, Dorian Richardson rushed for 126 yards
The Jaguars of Valley Center will host Fallbrook next Friday while the Longhorns will take on the Cougars of Escondido on the road both on Friday night at 7:00 pm
