The team to beat this summer in seven on seven passing tournaments is Hart High with quarterback Brady White and receiver Trent Irwin.
The Indians won the Saugus passing tournament on Saturday, defeating Chaminade in the final. Hart also knocked Alemany in the semifinals in the battle of the coaching Herrington brothers.
Chaminade defeated Oaks Christian in the semifinals in a game that feature several scuffles between players.
Hart and Alemany could meet again in the Edison tournament on July 12.
In the Bonita tournament, Bishop Amat defeated Valencia in the final.

That Edison tournament is loaded next weekend again. White/Irwin is the best duo in Southern California with Waller/St. Brown of Servite in the ball park with Travis committing to Oregon today.

im really considering heading to HB to check this out.
This tourney is always loaded, just look at the who's who.
I haven't seen upland yet, curious to see how / if they have jelled.
we scrimmage serra, they always have such rich talent.
MD vs Amat really has my attention.

I hope you make it out there, doc. I always love to read your thoughts.

That tournament is very good, I went last year and it was a great day. Those teams are stacked with major Division 1 talents like Josh Rosen, Malik Henry, John Houston, KJ Costello, DeSean Holmes, Trevon Sidney, Brady White/Trent Irwin and much much more.

I'd be there this year if I wasn't in the Bay Area.

Dave, didn't end up making it. we stayed an extra day in Mammoth. From what ive read, heard, it sounded like a great event.

I'd do that too Doc, I spent last weekend in Tahoe.

Hart won the event behind White/Irwin but St. John Bosco's talented sophomores and juniors opened some eyes, there is so much talent in that program.

Brandon,

Tahoe is nice too. Last year we stayed in Incline village. It was awesome.

When or if I retire, it'll likely be in that area, likely Reno.
