I got sent this article, its pretty good. It displays the amount of Division 1 football players and the county they came from. California is represented very well.
LA County is tops on the list with 648 guys, San Diego County is 10th with 248, Orange County is 11th with 242, Riverside County is 21st with 174, with San Bernardino not far behind with 145 D1 Players.
It is what most already knew in terms of California, Texas, Florida, and Georgia ranking high.
