If what this Narbonne teacher is saying is true...not good!

The Los Angeles Unified School District has launched a formal investigation into the Narbonne football team after a former teacher at the high school filed a lawsuit claiming that football players were given preferential treatment and were even allowed to pay teachers to cut class.

Regarding Narbonne's football investigation by LAUSD, everyone should wait to see what the investigation uncovers. Investigators are taking it very seriously. When results come out, then conclusions can be made. There's been many false rumors. LAUSD needs to speak soon.

I was a student and a football player while Coach Lopez was a teacher at Narbonne. Everything I received from Narbonne was earned. Everything the past/present student-athletes at Narbonne receive is earned. Minorities actually do work hard. Do more than just screen shot and post

Wouldn’t be surprised if that goes on at private schools. Only difference is private school teachers don’t have a union to run to when they get reprimanded for pointing it out.

I doubt that anyone was paid by a student to not attend classes or do the work assigned in the curriculum regardless if it was Narbonne or J.W. North!

Look at it this way, the HC is not back yet and the season starts this week,
LAUSD administration brought in a new principal, a vice principal (just
to overlook athletics) and a new AD during the course of this investigation,
something you normally would not do, if the allegations were minor or of no significance - if the HC or even his staff knew of the allegations going on and did not report it, it could be over for some...
BTW - apparently the allegations also involve - rampant violence, gambling and
consistent drug use, fyi; not good!

Hmm, anyone heard anything about this investigation, been weeks now,
LAUSD seems to be very secretive in any of their administration
action findings, the Narbonne HC is still not with the team?
..for it to take this long and the administration is very quiet
about the situation,makes one wonder if in fact - a lot of illegal
activity happened....

It's an investigation. With all the increased public scrutiny and potential civil litigation for damages to reputations ect.... it's going to be ongoing until every avenue is followed to it's end.

What has happen to LB Poly over the years? - did the school
district change the way incoming frosh enrollment is done?
Wasn't the LB school district - open enrollment ?(you could go
to any HS in the district as an incoming frosh student)
Has it been changed, you have to go to your designated
HS in the district even though you don't want to go to
that district HS?

I believe the Moore league has a rule in place essentially banning players from transferring into LBP. That’s just within the league though.
