I read the recent Rivals article (linked below) on Jaylon Redd who was at USC's Junior Day. He's only a sophomore this year but is getting offers from major D-1 schools.

I see he's only 5-9, 170 so he must be quite an athlete to be drawing all this early interest. Where do you project him at the next level? Has he been playing offense, defense, and special teams at RC?

Redd excited after USC visit

Dave,

those stats are accurate.
he's VERY fast and some incredible football instincts. he has the intangibles you just don't see all the time.
he's for sure a D1 talent. he covered every opponents best WR and for the most part shut them down
he also ran back 3 or 4 kick offs.
he's the real deal and will be a junior this fall.
the genetics are there too, his cousin is Vince Brown - SDSU SD Chargers Oakland raiders - a RC alum .

Doc,

I didn't know Brown was his cousin. Jaylen is definitely good, I liked him when I saw him as a freshman on varsity 2 years ago.
