CIF-SS releases football update for upcoming season

After a one-year delay, we are ready to debut our new Competitive Equity Football Playoff system which will utilize only current regular season results to formulate divisions for the 2021 Football Championships. Once the season starts, weekly power rankings will be available on www.calpreps. com, which will allow you to follow the progress of your team’s ranking from Week 0 through Week 10. More information on this system is included in the 2021 Football Preview which is now available on our website.

That is an interesting system they use. I am interested to see how it accounts for games postponed or cancelled.

That is on the top of my mind with the news that Mater Dei/Centennial in 2 weeks is off due to COVID issue related to Centennial and Mater Dei's game against a Hawaii team is off due to their State delaying the season a month and implementing a mandate to require student-athletes and coaches to be vaccinated.
