Not since 2003 have we had a week like this. Back then, it was fire that caused the disruption. This week it was all about the lightning...But we did not lack for drama...Heading into the four Monday games, half our posters had a chance to earn the coveted STAR...So the week was long, but the results were dramatic.

An incredible week deserves an incredible finish and Week 8 did not disappoint...Four STARs were earned this week and, as the weeks are dwindling, our champion is getting closer to being crowned...FmrOlineguy, D5fan, bigdaddybloom, and LightsOut all win STARs with 22 victories...for FmrOlineguy it is his STAR leading fourth STAR and second in a row...D5fan takes home his third STAR in four weeks to remain one STAR back of the lead...bigdaddybloom remains in the running to share our championship by winning his second STAR of the season...and LightsOut becomes our latest poster to win his first STAR on his first entry.

Week 8 saw the favorites go 30-4, straight up. On the season the favorites are 240-65 straight up.
When the point spreads were included 14 games flipped to the dogs. That means the Favorites were beaten by the Dogs again this week, going 16-17...There was 1 Tie...Overall the Favorites still trail the Dogs 142-157-6.
