With two games scheduled for Saturday I decided to include them and extend the contest just a bit...It is fun to be at the games and see the stands, the teams, the bands, the cheerleaders, and even the officials all ready for the night ahead...I encourage you to get out and feel the excitement our great game has to offer.
______________________________________________________________________________

Simple contest. You pick the winner of each high school game with the point spread included. The poster who picks the most games correctly wins the contest.
______________________________________________________________________________

Example: Norco is playing Centennial. Centennial is favored by 17 1/2 points. The line will look this way:

Centennial -17 1/2 Norco

If you choose Centennial. They must win by 18 points for you to win.
If you choose Norco. They must keep the game within 17 points for you to win.

Friday night, Centennial beats Norco 34-21. Centennial wins the game by 13 points therefore those that took Centennial get a loss in our contest; those that took Norco get a win.

The poster with the most wins is our Victor.
______________________________________________________________________________

What do you win? STARS. Since there is no money involved, we play for STARS! The poster with the most correct picks, wins that week's STAR (Not an easy thing to do).

The poster with the most STARS at the end of the season becomes our CHAMPION.
_______________________________________________________________________________
Sound easy enough? Then let's play!

Yeah, nice Saturday addition. That Centennial/Sierra Canyon game should be great. And how was Centennial an underdog in Week 1? They won in a rout last week but this week a favorite by 9 points seems like a lot to give up against a good team like Sierra Canyon.

Thanks again for doing this, King M!

Who made Centennial a dog?

Oh yeah, me.

That might have been a mistake. Oh well, at least I picked Cathedral and took the loss like I deserved.

Centennial being a favorite this week is all about two things...Not making the same mistake twice and trying to see if we can get some takers on this board to pick against the Huskies.

Also a little insight...I follow the IE pretty closely...I don't see schools outside of this area except in situations where teams from here are playing teams from there...In those situations, I rely heavily on Calpreps numbers...I am never comfortable with these lines, but it was requested long ago that I include those games.

Of course, no matter how far off a line may be, we all have the same option to choose them, so it does not affect our contest.

Thanks Dave.

Well, I learned something - I thought you were using Calpreps for all your odds. I always thought Calpreps did a great job but for you to be doing this a little independently is impressive, King!

Don't get me wrong, Dave. I do use Calpreps. Their ratings are solid and their schedule is accurate.

It's just with out of area schools it's almost all I have to go with.
