A few observations:

1.Bosco wins. DJ throws for four scores and runs for another. They look like the top team in the country and he looks like one of the best players in the country.
2. Corona Del Mar holds on. The Sea Kings win a close game 35-27. Ethan Garbers finishes his senior season with an undefeated state title.
3. Pacifica rolls 34-6. Impressive win for them over a really good team from West Oakland in McClymonds. They were the start of a 3-0 CIF Southern Section Saturday after going 0-2 on Friday in Cerritos.
4. Sierra Canyon falls. The Trailblazers lose their second straight state final, 34-19. Their young and talented underclassmen core will have a chance to get back to Cerritos next season.

This year's tally:
South 5
North 9

I'm not sure Bishop should count as Southern California despite what CIF says given it's locale
Agreed - they were the most northern of all CS schools in the regional bowl games. I was a little surprised that the CIF committee didn't pair them up as a NorCal team. Really the whole CS section is a an odd situation. They are never referenced throughout the season as a part of the NorCal region. The CS section appears to be kind of on their own - not SoCal or NorCal. And then coming into the bowl games, they are split up 3/3 between North and South.

Bakersfield I can more understand, but seeing where Bishop is I thought it was more north and closer to the Reno/Tahoe area than it is but still too far North to be considered SoCal
