Per our Rivals Notre Dame writers:

I can’t stress enough how high Notre Dame’s coaching staff is on Madden Faraimo. I think he’d be the ideal finish to the position for the Irish, even though there are some other highly ranked options in that conversation too.

Notre Dame believes it killed the visit and allowed Faraimo to fall in love with Notre Dame again. Faraimo made the visit alongside his mom, which is an important voice in his recruitment.

USC is likely the top competition for the California product. If Faraimo can get over the distance hurdle, he may very well end up at Notre Dame.

USC commit Brandon Lockhart made his first visit to Notre Dame, and it seems clear that he’s open to going elsewhere. The Irish aren’t the only ones that are trying to get him to do so. But this visit opened his eyes to what Notre Dame could do for him, I’m told.

RJ Sermons is another California product who’s entertaining the idea of leaving the West Coast. Even though his father, Rodney Sermons, played running back at USC, he’s not necessarily a lock to become a Trojan. A source told me that Notre Dame “blew away expectations” for Sermons on his visit.
