The whole division has been less than stellar, but let's keep focus on topic as we examine the Base Line.

Let's take a look at who the Baseline has beat to date.

Chino Hills - beat Hart - nice win after being down 35-14
Damien - Roosevelt (Pac 5) - I really don't get how bad they have been the last few years, not all of their players are at CC
Etiwanda - Colton (D8)
Los Osos - doesn't have a win
Rancho Cucamonga - Beat Trabuco Hills (D4) and came from behind to beat Norco (Pac 5)
Upland - beat up on Knight (D3) and Redondo (D7)

Looking at the Base Line objectively who has the signature win? Chino Hills over Hart or RC over Norco?
yes there have been the routes as teams try to gain confidence, but there are few wins over tougher competition.

In looking at the losses the Base Line hasn't lived up to its expectations.
A few losses have been to upper division teams, but mostly to the lower divisions.
Chino Hills lost to a vastly improved J Serra
Rancho's loss was to Amat.
Etiwanda lost to Norco on the last play of the game.
Osos lost to Alemany
Upland lost to division foe Tesoro.

So, you have to ask yourself is it the scheduling or has it been a rough start ?


This week:
Chino Hills hosts Amat. high scoring affair ?
St. Paul at Damian - Damian should win this one
Etiwanda at Heritage - most intriguing game of the week. Heritage has a been a good program. Close game?
Los Osos at North - If the Grizz lose here...
Rancho Cucamonga hosts Murrieta Valley - We like Rancho
Upland at Mater Dei - MD is a huge favorite here. Lets see how Upland rebounds from Tesoro loss.

Chino Hills/Amat should at least be competitive tonight. I'm definitely curious to see how Upland looks the next 2 weeks with games at Mater Dei and St. Bonaventure.

We may have a chance next week against St. Bonney if our D-line can put pressure on Ricky Towne.

Everyone is predicting a bloodbath tonight, so there is nothing to lose.
We'll sse what kind of heart the team has tonight.
