The first Southern California player was drafted on Friday night when former USC and Oaks Christian wideout Michael Pittman Jr was drafted by the Colts. He is the lone player drafted from the region in the top three rounds of the draft. The first player from the state of California drafted was former Utah State and Bakersfield Liberty quarterback w drafted 26th overall to the Green Bay Packers.

I'll have an article on Saturday night after the draft ends with a roundup of who went where.

Let's hope this trend starts to reverse itself and local talent starts staying in Southern California!

USC is off to a good start for their 2021 class with ace recruiter Donte Williams there. UCLA had a pair of guys drafted on Saturday in Darnay Holmes and Joshua Kelley.
