Coach Kevin Rooney has officially retired as head coach of Notre Dame after 40 years. We all knew this day was coming but it doesn’t soften the blow of hearing the news. I had the privilege of playing for Coach Rooney and cant say enough about the positive influence he had on my life and those of everyone else he coached. He’s truly one of the best coaches and human beings around and he’ll be sorely missed at ND.
