Jeff Tuttle's 4 touchdown passes paces undefeated Mission Hills in win over Grossmont 52-42

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Jack Ashby Field at Grizzly Field-Mission Hills High School-San Marcos, CA-11-17-17-After a 49-48 win over the Foothillers of Grossmont High School in last years CIF quarter final round down in El Cajon, the miracle Grizzlies of Mission Hills pulled a rabbit out of the hat but on the key plays on the passing of Jeff Tuttle as the Utah bound qb had 17 completions out of 35 attempts for 328 yards along with 4 touchdown passes of 82 and 8 to Chris Olave 7 receptions for 193 (scored on a 60 yard punt return), 1 pass of 7 yards to Chris Jones 4 receptions for 93 yards and running of Damon Wigand carried the ball 17 times for 66 yards as he contributed as he ran 5 yards for a touchdown, Isaac Anderson scored on a 1 yard run, on the defensive side Chris Calhoun scored on a 10 yard interception for a score as they defeated the Grossmont Football (7-4) by a 52-42 score.
For the Foothillers of Grossmont High School Shevill Sterling carried the ball 24 times for 172 yards and surprises on defense, So Jamie Odom 12 completions out of 36 attempts for 121 yards threw 2 touchdown passes of 8 yards to teammate Josh Moala (4 receptions for 22 yard) plus off Grizzly turnovers, Erik Shanks scored on a 34 yard interception and a 32 yard fumble return by Julien Sanderlin and a Chris Callahan 10 yard interception.
I expected to win tonight as we watched the films on Mission Hills in last years quarterfinal loss at our school as you saw the score tonight our defense played lights out football as we battled the number one team in the county for 2 years in a row I couldn't be prouder of these kids for their performance on the field tonight." said Tom Carlo Head Football Coach at Grossmont.

The Grizzles of Mission Hills outgained the Foothillers of Grossmont on total offensive yards 427 to 401 yards
The Grizzlies next opponent will be a familiar opponent they played during the season as they will play the Falcons of Torrey Pines a 40-0 winner over the Mavericks of LaCosta Canyon. Mission Hills will host Torrey Pines next Friday night kickoff is at 7:00 pm
