These games will determine their league's outright champion:

Baseline- Rancho Cucamonga at Upland
Ivy- Heritage at Rancho Verde
Mountain Valley- Moreno Valley at Vista Del Lago

Here are the scenarios behind these league's champion:

Inland Valley- North at Riverside Poly...If North wins they are league champs...If Poly wins then there is likely a tie between North, Poly, and Orange Vista

San Andreas- Eisenhower at Jurupa Hills...If Ike wins they are league champs...If Jurupa Hills wins then there is likely a tie between Eisenhower, Jurupa Hills, and San Gorgonio

Southwestern- Murrieta Valley at Vista Murrieta...If Murrieta Valley wins they are league champs...If Vista wins then Temecula Valley is league champs unless Temecula loses to Murrieta Mesa then Vista Murrieta is league champs.

Questions:

What are your thoughts about how these games will play out?

Which game has the best potential for an upset?

seems to me every game in the SWL has potential to be an upset this year

and TV has to win also to be champs

Agreed TV must win, but a TV win does not make them champs; VM must also win for that to occur. Murrieta Valley holds the tie breaker over TV.

Bert has done an excellent job making Temecula Valley competitive and one can see not only this but just how bad Paloma Valley has become after he left.

Rancho Verde 44 Heritage 0

Did anyone see that coming? A dominant performance for the Mustangs from start to finish.

I had Heritage based on the point spread but either Rancho Verde is better than we all thought or Heritage is worse and Heritage has been getting the bulk of the decent Paloma Valley kids since Bert Epstein left.

Rancho Verde is loaded, as usual. The class of the area this side of I15. But, like others on here, this was a complete surprise as a result.

I flipped through the North/Poly game on YouTube - North's D looks pretty good, and their RB combo is going to be tough to stop in their division. I found it a little funny that they kept calling the Inland Valley league tough. One look at Calpreps shows a 0-10 Perris team (Win was by forfeit) a 1-9 Lakeside team, and a 3-7 Canyon Springs team.
