Willauer-Contributing Writer-The Holiday Classic-Torrey Pines High School-San Diego CA-12-28-24-In a thrilling 3 overtime contest the Lancers of Carlsbad have found the hard way to defeat a very competitive Georgetown Prep in 3 overtimes as they won by a 105-99 score behind the 41 point performance Jake Hall.
This game was a battle to the end after the Lancers led 75-72 in regulation. With 2.1 seconds left on the clock Georgetown Prep's Patrick McDonough hit a three point shot tied the game at 75-75.
After 2 overtimes the game was tied at 84-84 and 91-91, Carlsbad with their outside shooting outscored the Little Hoyas 14-8 as they keep their undefeated winning streak to 12 games as they will take on the Lions of J Serra from San Juan Capistrano in a National Division Semi Final Contest.
