A few observations:
1. Serra with a huge win in overtime over Narbonne, that was the game of the night.
2. Poly loses in Vegas, Gorman is the top team in the country. Malik Henry made an impact with a few TDs, will see how they look in a few weeks.
3. Mater Dei blowing an Upland is a notable win.
4. Bosco torches Crespi and Alemany does the same to Dorsey, 2 blowout wins over historically good teams.

is that Westlake / santa margarita score correct ?

Rancho Cucamonga was down 14-0 to Murrieta valley.
RC hung in there, cleaned up the penalty problem from the first half (9) penalties.
MV let RC stay in it.
also MV had the game won when it intercepted a rc pass, but on the return MV player had the ball stripped and RC recovered. RC got a break on the same drive when a pass bounced off of a rc wr and into the hands of another rc receiver who took it to about the 5 yard line. next play a holding call put the ball back at the 20 w 37.6 seconds left.
next play rc gets the ball to the 1 yard line w 11.6 to go. next play TD. RC gors for 2 and gets it making the score 34-28. on the last play MV threw a hail mary pass that was intercepted in the end zone. rc db ran it out to about the 20 and then laid down sealing the win.
MV has some good players, the frosh QB is really good. hopefully he doesn't get away to another school.

Thats a solid win Doc. That Westlake score is right I completely missed that.

The qb sounds promising.

I watched the second half on TV and was really impressed with Westlake. The qb/wr combo of Grant Bunker/Theo Howard, along with the great running of Chase Jasmin, kept the ball away from Santa Margarita, and Westlake's defense really harassed KJ Costello who didn't look very mobile.

Bunker has replaced Malik Henry and looks pretty good for the Warriors with those weapons. Costello isn't very mobile, a pure drop back QB but very good win for Westlake.
