CIF-SS commissioner Rob Wigod is hosting a press conference on Monday at 1pm and will reveal what fate the CIF State office has decided is planned for the 2020-21 high school athletic calendar.

My guess is that there are probably two options: no sports for the school year, or no sports until early 2021. Hopefully, a firm plan will be set out one way or the other.

High School sports will not be back until after the election. Somehow the socialist in Sacramento thinks by denying students the opportunity to go to school and play sports this will get Slezzy Joe elected. Sports will return November 4th. All recent studies show almost zero risk to school aged children and they do not carry and spread the virus. Death rate for 18U in all of California is still zero. Using Newsom's logic we should close schools every flu season because kids actually die from the flu.

I don't think we are getting high school sports in California until early 2021. I'm really curious to see what the schedule would look like in regards to winter sports. Also what the statements from the various sections are on the news.

Who gives a damn about sports? In the grand scheme of things it's not important. It's trivia. Besides who wants to see another SJB vs MD final? The education is what's most important and they'll adapt as needed. To hell with the conspiracy bs. Numbers don't lie. If anything the COVID numbers are under reported. No small wonder why were the most impacted worldwide with the attitudes of our citizens. What a disgrace for a so called superpower. We've become a banana republic.
