The Culver City Centaurs did get an early scare from El Dorado, the 6th place team from the 7 team Century league that includes powerhouse Brea Olinda. CC trailed, in the Division 2A game, by as much as 6 halfway through the first quarter but gradually dug into the lead and had evened it by the end of the first quarter and then just kept building on that lead as the game progressed. Centaur point guard Taylor Tanita did her usual impressive job of controlling the game but got solid contributions from several her teammates. Lunden Junious provided point scoring & rebounding, as did Kelsey Ueda. Mithzy Hernandez turned in an impressive defensive effort to help slow El Dorado's inside game. The Centaurs ended up coasting in the 4th quarter to their 62-37 win.
