Oceanside Pirates defeat Vista Panthers in Boys Basketball 56-46

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Oceanside High School-Oceanside, CA-Wednesday, January 29, 2020-After a 62-44 defeat vs. the Wildcats of El Camino High which was played at Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA, the Pirates of Oceanside at 15-7 found a way to win today's contest as they defeated the Vista Panthers at 8-15 by a 56-46 score.
Paris Smith led the Pirates with 18 points and Kamron Beachem contributed with 12 points as their next game is on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns. For the Panthers Matthew Rivera led with 26 points will take on San Dieguito Academy.
In girls basketball, the Lady Panthers of Vista High School behind the 15 point performance of Katerina Sciacca, 12 points by Evelyn Terraza 11 by Ciana Sciacca defeated the Lady Pirates of Oceanside by a 65-46 score. Nevaeh Mageo led the Lady Pirates at 10-8 with 18 points.
