Jason Heine and Max Bingham pace undefeated Torrey Pines to a 38-0 win in Beach Bowl

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Friday, October 26, 2018-LaCosta Canyon High School-Carlsbad, CA: Early touchdowns by USC baseball bound Max Bingham's 32 yard run 19 carries for 164 yards 7-0 and Caleb Jackson's 6 carries for 42 yards scored on a 12 yard run to go up 14-0 but Falcon qb Jason Heine was the star of the show as he scored 3 touchdown runs of 9, 32 and 32 along with 6 carries for 90 yards paced the top ranked and undefeated Torrey Pines Falcons at 9-0 by a 38-0 score in the 25th Beach Bowl rivalry with the winner of the game gets a Golden Surfboard.
Jason Heine: : "I ran three option plays for my three touchdowns as I give credit to the offensive line and they blocked well left open holes for us in this 25th meeting," "We prepared for LaCosta Canyon as like every game for the crowd but this is more of a rivalry game." This was one of my better performances throughout the whole game from the very first drive we were all in and knew that we couldn't be stopped." "As we prepare for the CIF we need to come out every contest but this is all about the playoffs."
The Falcons lead the series 16-9 (these schools have played each other in CIF Playoffs twice each winning 1 game). Lacosta Canyon's last win was a 13-3 win under Head Coach Sean Sovacool in 2015.
Both schools will await on who they will play in the CIF San Diego Section Playoffs.
