Cerritos College announced as championship site

LOS ALAMITOS – The 2018 CIF Southern Section-Ford Division 1 Football Championships will once again be played at Falcon Stadium on the campus of Cerritos College in Norwalk. The game will be played Friday, November 23 and kickoff for this game will be 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live by Fox Sports West.

Falcon Stadium will also play host to the CIF State Football Championships in five divisions this December 7-8.

Nothing special about Cerritos, wonder what happened to angel stadium?

Cheaper to rent Cerritos College, it holds over 12,000.
It's all about saving money. The game is on TV, so
the game will probably not be sold out anyway.

Games that have a track around the field are bogus. CIF should have looked
into Santa Ana Stadium or CSU-Fullerton, both hold 10,000+ and have no
track around the field.

Other states find the money to have championships at much nicer facilities.
