Standouts Amaad Wainright and Rashid Ewing led Burbank Burroughs in scoring with Wainright routinely scoring north of 30 points. However, coach Adam Hochberg won't have the services of either player in the playoffs.
Burroughs opens Friday at Valencia (Placentia).
Wainright and Ewing both checked out of school late last week and returned to Kansas City. Hochberg mentioned academic concerns over graduating from Burroughs played a part in the departure.
