Burfict Suspended by NFL for Rest of the Year

I remember when he played DLS some 11+ years ago in the state open game and should have been thrown out of that game for dirty play (the refs had no guts to call it). Obviously Vontaze never learned. Hopefully this will lead to his eventually being blackballed by all NFL teams and never playing again.

I read where he went undrafted by the NFL because of his dirty play in college and has paid $4.2M in fines before this suspension.

Vontaze has always been pretty crazy. He was dirty at ASU and in the league. His hits in high school where probably the hardest hits I've seen and heard from the sideline.

I've been telling people this since he's been in the league. He has not changed. He played on the edge in HS and was good for a personal foul constantly. He was good for it at ASU. And now, it doesn't come as a surprise that he's having trouble in the league, too. I agree with bjbrandon, though, that listening to him hit people from the sideline when he was in high school was just different. Got to do that once or twice when scouting.
