Although Cathedral City went 8-2 last year the CIF-SS chose an Arlington team that went 3-7 to make the playoffs in the Central Division.. They got the "shaft" if you ask me but that's how its set up. It is what it is....... until they decide to change the rule.
On a side note, they have a good coach in Richard Lee who may be able to bring back the winning tradition they had under Coach Baughman.
NOTE: Cathedral City won the Desert Valley League title three times from 1998-2002, before a string of disappointing seasons. Head coach Richard Lee was an assistant on those teams that were so successful, and has improved the Lions record in each of his three seasons at the helm. Can he do it again this year?
