One more week, then league play begins.
Big wins for a few teams in the WVD, as one was a streak stopper.
In its first year the division sure has had its hands full against the Pac 5.

1. (1) Tesoro (4-1) Defeated CDM and halted its 30 game winning streak, 28-14. Tesoro looks to be the front runner in whats going to be a highly contested SCL. Next: @ San Clemente (5-0)

2. (2) Los(t) Al (4-0) LA stuffed itself with more cupcakes as it beat up division foe San Juan Hills 42-7. Lets see if this weeks opponent gives the Griffins any trouble. We're hoping its a good one. Next: Narbonne (1-3)

3. (3) Chino Hills (3-1) Had a bye. This week its a tune up for league play. Next: @ Victor Valley (2-3)

4. (5) Mission Viejo (3-2) MV stumbled to a 19-5 win over Redondo. Were the previous two wins an aberration? This week MV plays a team who hasn't scored in 2 games and has lost 3 straight and needs a big time performance. not a good week for MV next victim. Next: Chaparral (1-3)

5. (6) Upland (3-2) Now that the last 3 weeks gauntlet is over Upland can sit back and reflect what they learned about itself in that pretty brutal 3 week stretch. Oh ya, Upland defeated Bonnies and the refs, 25-21 to end its 2 game skid. This week is a well deservrd bye then league. Next: Oct 10 Damien (3-1)

6. (7) Valencia (3-1) Valencia waltzed to a 35-0 drubbing of Santa Monica. This weeks game should a high scoring affair as CC comes to town, Thursday night game.

7. (10) Hart (3-2) Look who decided to play 4 qtrs. this year, Hart. Hart beat Santiago 57-35 behind Brady White's 7 TD's. This was Hart's 3rd straight win after opening 0-2. This week's a bye and the following week's league opener happens to be rivalry week. Next: Canyon (2-3)

8. (nr) El Toro (4-1) Moves back into our Top 10 with an exciting 34-33 win over Trabuco Hills. This week the Chargers face Bell? really, before its league opener in 2 weeks vs. Tesoro.

9. (4) Vista Murrieta (2-2) VM played it close for awhile then fell apart and were eventually blown out bye Orange Lutheran 37-3. What's going on over VM? Next: St. Augustine (2-3)

10. (9) Rancho Cucamonga (3-2) In a game they had no business losing, RC, lost. They were beat by La Serna 31-24. RC needs to re-group during its bye week and better get ready for league play. Next: @ #3 Chino Hills Oct. 10

others:

Edison (3-2) hasn't beat anyone last two games were blow out loses to Servite and MD - no shame there. Next: oct 10 Marina
Fountain Valley (4-1) on the cusp. impressive blow out win over Westminster. Next: oct 9 Los Al
Great Oak (3-1) blew out Corona. Next: @ Summit
